I love Seymour Simon's science books. This one doesn't disappoint- great illustrations and information about the extremes of our Earth. You can learn about the hottest place in Earth, the deepest, the coldest and more. If you like Guinness Book of World Records, check this out too!
It's picture book time! Three huge boxes of new books have arrived at the CR library! It feels like Christmas and I can't wait to get started reading and recommending new books to students!
"The Wonder Book" is simply wonderfully funny! If you love Shel Silverstein, you must give this book a try. So many fun poems, and they really make you think. I especially like "Stop That! Be Quiet! Please Sit Still!" This one has moved to the top of my list to read aloud to the preschoolers. We will have great fun with our own 'telephone game'!
A beautiful story about staying true to yourself, as well as my favorite past time - READING!
This book is a feast for the eyes as a young shoeshine boy explores the city and it's culture on his quest to return a red cloth to its rightful owner. Each stop along the way brings an opportunity for an act of kindness, and delightful details told through rich illustrations.
I will tell you more about the latest from one of my favorite science authors when I return...
