A new graphic novel made if short stories all centered around Halloween. I think I need to read this one again to find the connections between them- but I especially liked the tale about the witch!
This one was highly recommended by one of my student helpers - thanks Kylee! If you love mysteries, smart kids, or quick reads then you must try "Sophie Simon Solves Them All". Lisa Graffiti, author of "Umbrella Summer" has given us a humorous story about four kids growing up with parents that are opposite from their children. Read this book to find out how Sophie outsmarts them all - or does she?
This is a story about being homeless.
What happens to your best friend when you don't have a home to invite her over to? Where do you do your homework when you have no home? How can you hide your dirty clothes? Where do you shower and wash your hair when you live in a car? What if someone finds out? Could it get any worse? Yet through it all, Georgina learns about honesty and helping others. This one is strange! I've never been a big Lemony Snicket fan, and I had a really hard time following the action in this one. I am curious to see what kids think of this one.
Epic adventure! Imagine a futuristic world with gigantic storms restricting how people live, and the future rests in the hands of the brightest youth. Although it was a little predictable - it was great adventure.
We couldn't wait for this sequel! Matthew McElligott is visiting our school in January and we've been "reading it forward" with "Benjamin Franklinstein Lives". This book flew off the shelves before school even started!
This is a great book about friendship! Love this comic! I hope there will be more adventures of Gabby and Gator.
This one made me laugh out loud! I heard it was wonderful- but I didn't realize how fun it would be. I think all ages will enjoy this picture book.
