I rarely read scary stories, especially ghost stories. And to be honest, I first bought this because I thought it was a graphic novel plus it got great reviews. So when I realized it wasn't a graphiic, I decided I must read it to see what all the talk was about.
What I found was a magical tale about the power of story and friendship. Just enough creepy to make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck, but not enough to give you nightmares. A story that values imagination and the power of a quest!
I can't wait to see which students this story will appeal to. On a side note, this book has a really great librarian in it too!
