Reading with my ears again - thanks to Overdrive!
I have decided that there are two authors that you can never predict what their next book will be like - Neil Gaiman and Kate DiCamillo. Every one of their books I have read has been so unique, it's almost like they were written by different people, except that they have the author's own stamp of style. Take Neil Gaiman's latest book, Fortunately the Milk is storytelling at its finest as a wayward father weaves a fantastical tale of his adventures to explain why he is late bringing the milk. Pink ponies, flying dinosaur professors, vampires, aliens and exploding volcanoes that talk. Who couldn't get drawn into his story and hate to put it down until the last sentence. Yet if I tried to explain it to someone they would wonder why I even tried
