I loved this book when I first read it in 3rd grade. The death of author E.L. Konigsburg spurred me to pull this book off the shelf once again. I still love it today! I love the adventure of running away and living in a museum. It's strange, but I had forgotten the big ideas of the story - such as the mystery of the statue - but I still remembered the details: matching in the fountain, hiding in the bathroom stalls, and 50 cent lunches at the automat. Love, love, love this book!
Above all, I LOVE books! I've always loved to read, since discovering the magical worlds that you can discover in a book. I love getting lost in the Hundred Acre Woods with "Winnie the Pooh", exploring the magical world of "Harry Potter", or riding horses with Marguerite Henry. Hopefully you will join me in reading this blog and find some books you might enjoy reading too!
