Thanks Sadie for recommending this exciting read. The more books I read by Peg Kehret, the more I amazed by her writing talent. If you are looking for a book with lots of adventure, "The Runaway Twin" will deeply satisfy you. This story is sad, scary, and sweet too. The ending... Well, I won't give that away.
Blue Balliett has done it again! Adventure and mystery are the name if the game --- but this one is much sadder and more "real". Early and her mom Summer and brother Jubie end up in a homeless shelter when their dad mysteriously disappears. Thankfully Early doesn't give up hope when all those around her have. This is a powerful, yet entertaining, read.
Above all, I LOVE books! I've always loved to read, since discovering the magical worlds that you can discover in a book. I love getting lost in the Hundred Acre Woods with "Winnie the Pooh", exploring the magical world of "Harry Potter", or riding horses with Marguerite Henry. Hopefully you will join me in reading this blog and find some books you might enjoy reading too!
