If you have read much on my blog, you know I am a fan of graphic novels. Several years ago I discovered "Cardboard" by Doug TenNapel and fell on love with it. So I was super excited to find "Tommysaurus Rex" at our latest book fair.
These graphic novels run the gamut of emotions, from silly to depressed to angry to anxious. I love the creative idea of a dinosaur coming to life to be your best friend, and training him like a dog - with bacon, of course. But TenNapel also includes great character relationships, like between Ely and his grandpa, and between Ely and the bully.
I know this one will fly off my shelves too!
